Students Recognized by ASABE for Academic and Leadership Achievements


The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) recently presented awards to three young members for notable achievements as students. The three were honored at the 2019 ASABE Annual International Meeting, held recently in Boston.

Ryan Carda, recent graduate of North Dakota State University, is the 2019 recipient of the Roger R. and Laura M. Yoerger Preprofessional Engineer of the Year award for his outstanding academic record, service to his community, and leadership among NSDU agricultural and biosystems engineering student clubs. Mikela R. Pryor, Florida A&M University, is the 2019 recipient of the Pharos of Alexandria Scholars of Global Learning award for her kindness, honesty, dedication, and focus on her future career. Full Biography

Joanna Quiah, Oklahoma State University, is the 2019 recipient of the Robert E. Stewart Engineering Humanities award for her accomplishments as a leader, humanitarian, and scholar.  Full Biography
