Every year, hundreds of papers are published in ASABE journals. Members and non-members refer to these journals for technical information, trusting that the information will be of high quality and reliable content. During the 2023 publication year, 212 manuscripts were published in the Society’s three journals. From these high-quality papers, five percent were then selected for Superior Paper Awards. It is up to the Community Chairs to select the winner(s) in their community. Winners are presented with a certificate during the General Session at the Annual International Meeting.
The Information Technology, Sensors, and Control Systems (ITSC) Technical Community judges select the top papers from the ITSC community that will be presented at the Annual International Meeting (AIM) each year. To be considered, authors must submit their paper to headquarters by April 20 to be eligible for that year's AIM. Papers must not have been previously published elsewhere. Winning papers are from the 2024 Annual Meeting papers submitted from the ITSC Community.
