ASABE is led by a 15-member Board of Trustees, who ensure ASABE fulfills its missions of facilitating the exchange of technical information and promoting the science and art of engineering in agricultural, food, and biological systems.
As a membership-driven organization, ASABE strongly encourages its members to become involved in the activities of the Society. These activities are carried out by its four councils, Membership Development, Meetings, Publications, and Standards, representing the technical interest areas of ASABE members:

Society activities are also conducted through geographic Sections, affiliated Communities, and special programs, including an active Preprofessionals (student) group for individuals contemplating or preparing for a career in agricultural, food, and biological engineering.
