The New Davidson Prize - A proper subset of the AE50 Awards

ASABE has partnered with AEM to create a new award to further celebrate innovation in agriculture. The products represent the diversity of agricultural engineering, as well as the variety of companies that continue to bring advanced technology and exciting improvements to the marketplace. J.B. Davidson would be amazed at how advanced farm equipment has become.

The Davidson Prize is named for J.B. Davidson, the father of modern agricultural engineering. It gives a nod to the storied past of agricultural engineering and pays homage to those engineers, like J.B. Davidson, who aspire to find a better way.

A Panel of judges will select the AE50 award winners with the top ten scores. The submission material used for the AE50 Awards selection will be the basis for evaluating and selecting the award. The AE50 Davidson Prize will select up to three newly introduced products that are perceived to be the most innovative and will likely have a significant impact on agricultural production, efficiency and/or safety.

Deadline September 5, 2018 - To be eligible, AE50 entries must have been introduced for the first time and made commercially available no earlier than January 1, 2018 and no later than December 31, 2018. They must be advertised and available for sale by the end of this calendar year. Products still in the development stage at the end of 2018 do not qualify.
