IMPORTANT INFO
· All drivers are required to provide proof of medical insurance (a copy
of their card or their parent's medical card- if student is covered under the
parents). A copy of the card will be kept in the team file. Faxed copies are
ok. This requirement is stated in the 2007 Rules under "General Rules and
Safety Regulations".
· In order to be eligible to participate, team members must be ASABE
Student Members. This includes any drivers / presenters / pit crew etc.
Students attending the competition who are not members - are considered
spectators and can not drive, help in the pits or give any part of the
presentations. This regulation is stated as the first bullet in the 2007 Rules
under "Eligibility". Note: ASABE student dues are $20.00 and
membership has a number of benefits.
· We will have information - such as Grainger Catalogs, Local Phone
Books, and lists of Machinists who are able to help you, at the competition in
case of a breakage or other problem. See the registration desk or one of the
staff for info.
· There will be a welder available for repair and minor modifications. If
you have something serious like an axle failure on Saturday - we will send you to
a machinist in the area who can help you out (There would be a fee for this type of service).
· If you think you will need a generator - you should bring your own.
· We will be having a Cook-off again this year. The exact time will be determined later.
Please bring a dish that is representative of your local area. Please plan to bring all of the cooking
utensils you will need for your recipe (including a grill or other warming
device).
· The team presentations will take place at a Caterpillar facility in the area.
Each team will have access to video projector and screen. Please bring your own laptop.
· We will have fire suits and helmets available for those who can not
bring their own.
· The 2007 Rules will be the basis for the technical inspection - make
sure you comply with them ahead of time.
· We WILL have a ramp to unload tractors from Pick-Up trucks or high
trailers, at the event.
· There will be competition t-shirt for sale with the team
names on the back.
· There will be a professional announcer for the main Tractor Pull event.
Prior to the competition your team will be asked to fill out a pre-registration
form. The form will request information about your team (such as the team name
& who the drivers are for each class) as well as interesting information
about your team and tractor. The will use this info as filler between the
pulls.
