Eight Enter 2004 ¼
Scale Web Site Design Contest
The fifth annual ASAE ¼ Scale Web Site Design Contest once
again gave teams
entered in the 2005 competition a creative way to showcase their
talents on
Net as well as on the track.
Eight universities from across the U.S. and Canada entered the
contest and
took advantage of the opportunity to promote their team, the competition
and
ASAE, but the Badger Pullers from the University of Wisconsin -
Madison took
top honors with their innovative Web site design. Rounding out the
top three
winners were Oklahoma State University in second place and tying
for third,
Iowa State University and Texas A & M University.
Participants were given a set of basic guidelines to follow and
the rest was
up to them. As in years past, the competition was tough. The winning
teams
were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
This years contest was judged by Jerry Wille, ASAE President, Curry-Willie
&
Associates; Trisha Neff, Computer & Design Administrator, VIKTOR
Incentives
& Meetings; and Akil Spooner, Assistant Information Systems
