WatchDogT WeatherTrackerT logs and stores growing season's weather history
Spectrum Technologies developed the WeatherTrackerT family of weather recorders as user-friendly devices to capture, process, and store weather history throughout the growing season. These powerful recorders present historical weather data, degree-day calculations, and plant disease alerts without a computer interface. Knowledge of "site-specific" weather conditions is important for making intelligent and cost-effective decisions relative to crop growth and pest management. Environmental conditions can affect crop yield, insect phenology, and plant disease epidemiology as well as field operations. Each batterypowered recorder has an integrated data logger with a non-volatile memory and a clock that displays date and time. The WeatherTracker LCD displays high and low temperatures and degree-days for the last 30 days along with monthly weather summaries for 12 months. The product offering includes nine models with sensors for rainfall, soil temperature, soil moisture, and leaf wetness.
