Farmscan Canlink 3000 changes pivot systems to site-specific, variable-rate systems
The Farmscan Canlink 3000 Center Pivot Irrigation Controller converts existing pivot irrigation systems into site-specific, variable-rate water application systems. The system enables area specific watering under center pivots by cycling sprinklers on and off according to a predetermined prescription and guided by GPS positioning. Additionally, it controls end gun function and pivot rotational speed for optimized efficiency. Variable rate irrigation enables growers to apply water according to crop requirement, topography, and soil variation. It conserves water by shutting off watering where pivot overlaps occur and where there are non-crop inclusions in the field. The system ensures minimal water use and maximum efficiency.
