Critical Crop and Weather Information Go Online in Virginia
To help peanut and cotton growers make the best decisions about managing their
crops, researchers and technicians at Virginia Tech's Tidewater Agricultural
Research and Extension Center created the Peanut/Cotton Info-Net. The seasonal
bulletin board system provides daily crop advisories and weather information to
growers, extension agents and companies.

The SUCCEED Story
Modifying the traditional engineering curriculum to expose students to biology
is the goal of one of the projects of the Southeastern University and College
Coalition for Engineering Education (SUCCEED). SUCCEED is a member of the
National Science Foundation's Engineering Education Coalitions Program,
dedicated to a comprehensive revitalization of undergraduate engineering
education for the 21st century.
