Features

  • The Communications Paradox
The more responsibilities you have, the seemingly less specific your communications are. If you can recognize this, and then learn the "language" of your coworkers, you will be able to deliver specific information that people understand.
  • Critical Crop and Weather Information Go Online in Virginia
To help peanut and cotton growers make the best decisions about managing their crops, researchers and technicians at Virginia Tech's Tidewater Agricultural Research and Extension Center created the Peanut/Cotton Info-Net. The seasonal bulletin board system provides daily crop advisories and weather information to growers, extension agents and companies.
  • The SUCCEED Story
Modifying the traditional engineering curriculum to expose students to biology is the goal of one of the projects of the Southeastern University and College Coalition for Engineering Education (SUCCEED). SUCCEED is a member of the National Science Foundation's Engineering Education Coalitions Program, dedicated to a comprehensive revitalization of undergraduate engineering education for the 21st century.
