To promote new, safe designs for passenger instruction seating, ASAE in August 2000 approved the ANSI/ASAE S574 AUG00 Standard "Instructional Seat for Agricultural Equipment." The passenger seat log jam has been broken.
Soon, tractor cabs will be equipped with more than one passenger seat and U.S. drivers will not be as lonely as the Maytag repairman. They can spend quality time with their spouse, children and grandchildren in a safe and comfortable environment.
Bonding with the family and land will help future generations learn to love farming as their ancestors did.
