FAQs
How can my library acquire access to the online versions of ASABE
Publications?
Institutions, organizations and companies can purchase access to
the ASABE online Technical Library. An annual fee provides access
to the complete online collection of journals, books, standards
and meeting papers—currently over 60,000 pages. Electronic
access to individual publications is not available. A site license
agreement provides access to all authorized users as defined by
the license agreement.
The fee level varies depending on size of the user base and more
specifically, the number interested in the technology we cover in
our collection as well as the number of geographic locations included.
If a customer were to purchase one set of all of the print materials
added to the site each year they would spend approximately $3,000.
We assume access would be restricted to faculty/students or employees
at the single physical location represented by the address provided
for the organization or institution. If other locations or entities
would have access, please provide the name and address of each campus
or other locations.
Access to the site is not related to print subscriptions. A print
subscription does not include access to the electronic files. Nor
is a print subscription a requirement for accessing the electronic
collection. Those signing a license agreement who desire both print
and electronic qualify for significant discounts on the print versions
(60%-70% range).
Connection by IP address is available.
The site license provides access to all of the material on the
site including all ASABE technical publications published since 2001
and back issues of journals from 1998 through 2000. To view a complete
list of the publications included go to http://asae.frymulti.com
and click on the Table of Contents button. Anyone can access the
free abstracts. Access to the full-text requires a password or IP
connection.
