Kansas State University Powercats are this year's champions in the 10th Annual ASABE International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition in Peoria, Ill. This was the second consecutive year, and sixth time in the event's history, that K-State took top honors.

Purdue University’s tractor out-pulled 23 other college and university entries in the 2007 ASABE International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition in Peoria, Ill. The team of undergraduate and graduate students placed second overall, the team’s best placement ever in the 10-year history of the event.

Quebec’s Université Laval placed third overall in the 2007 ASABE International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition in Peoria, Ill. The team, which has consistently placed in the top five over the event’s 10-year history, vied with 23 other universities and colleges for cash prizes and career recruitment opportunities.


Challenged to maximize pulling power, the University of Kentucky engineering team placed fourth out of 28 entries in the 2007 ASABE International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition in Peoria, Ill.


The University of Illinois team had its biggest win in the 10-year history of the ASABE International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition. The team placed fifth in the event that drew more than 300 students to Peoria, Ill., June 1-3, 2007.
