ASABE Announces 25th Anniversary AE50 Winners for Innovative Technology
Date: Monday, January 16, 2012
Resource
magazine and the American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers
have announced the winners of the 2012 AE50
Awards.
The awards recognize the world's best technology
innovations introduced in 2011 for the agricultural, food, and
biological systems industries. This year's winning products
include agricultural equipment and implements, control systems,
irrigation equipment, and a low-cost, easy-to-assemble shelter for
the disaster-stricken or impoverished. Several companies have won
multiple awards.
A comprehensive list and descriptions of all 2012 AE50
Award winners can be found at www.asabe.org. The 50 winners were announced
online and will be honored February 14 during the 2012 Agricultural Equipment Technology
Conference, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Now in its 25th year, the AE50 awards program
has been encouraging and applauding engineering achievements since
1984. It is the only one of its kind. Submitted by companies of all
sizes and varying inventive focus, the 50 winning products bring
clear advancements to the marketplace, such as improved efficiency
and user safety, and reduced labor and costs. Entries are evaluated
by a blue-ribbon, international panel of industry experts in
technology, design, and product development. Contact Sandy Rutter
at ASABE for information about the nomination
process.
Resource magazine is published by the American Society of
Agricultural and Biological Engineers, an international technical
and educational organization dedicated to the advancement of
engineering applicable to agricultural, food, and biological
systems. ASABE's 9,000 members, from more than 100 countries, are
consultants, managers, researchers, educators, and others who have
the training and experience to understand the interrelationships
between technology and living systems. Further
