ASABE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Instructions for Submitting Application
A student may apply to more than one scholarship,
as long as all requirements are met. Only one ASABE Foundation funded
scholarship will be granted to any one student per academic year.
A yearly scholarship grant of $1,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate
student who meets the following criteria:
- is a student member of ASABE;
- has COMPLETED at least one year of undergraduate study and
has AT LEAST one year of undergraduate study remaining from
the time of application;
- is majoring in an Agricultural or Biological Engineering
in an ABET- or
CEAB-accredited degree program in the United States or Canada;
- has a GPA of at least 2.5 (4.0 basis) or equivalent;
- can verify that graduation from his/her Agricultural or Biological
degree program assures eligibility for the Professional Engineer
(PE) licensing examination; and
- can attest to the need for financial aid*.
* For this grant, financial aid is limited to tuition fees,
books, and on-campus room and board

| 1) Fill out the official entry form,
which includes writing a brief essay on why you selected the
agricultural and biological engineering discipline for your
degree and the extent of your financial need.

- you are a biological or agricultural engineering major;
- the applicant has COMPLETED at least one year of undergraduate
study and has at LEAST one year of undergraduate study remaining
from the time of application;
- your curriculum is accredited by ABET or CEAB;
- your GPA is at least 2.5 (or equivalent on 4.0 basis);
- can verify graduation assures eligibility for the PE
licensing exam; and
- can attest to the need for financial aid.

Entries must be received by headquarters on or before
March 17.

------- Notification of Grant -------
The scholarship program is administered by the ASABE
Foundation. The recipient of the grant is selected by P-120 Student
Organizations Committee. The committee reserves the right to not
award the scholarship during a particular year. Recipient is notified
by early June. Publicity concerning the scholarship winner will
occur in a fall issue of Resource
and press release.
