A list of members and the current interest area, employer type, and current mail address is sent to the state's membership chair every year.  Here is a summary of this information.  Currently, the NE-section of ASABE has 195 members, only a small fraction of the 8,480 total (2.1%).  This sounds rather low—however, when you considered that Nebraska has only 0.6% of the total U.S. population, it's not bad. The picture of the state shows the distribution of members across the state. Forty percent of our members are located in Lincoln, which includes the faculty and students at the University of Nebraska. Seven percent of the members are located in Omaha, and 6% are located in Grand Island.  The remaining 47% of the members are scattered across the state.

The technical interest of our members was dominated by the Power and Machinery area (67 members), and the Soil and Water area (65 members).

The leading employers of our members include equipment manufacturers (41 members) and Universities/Schools (38 members).
