Vaccinations (for all nationalities)

Yellow Fever certificate of vaccination is required if you enter Brazil within 10 days of leaving one of the following countries: Angola, Bolivia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guiana, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Republic of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, or Venezuela.

A Yellow Fever certificate of vaccination is also required if destination in Brazil includes any of the following regions: Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Federal District, Goias, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Para, Rondonia, Roraima, and Tocantins.

An International Certificate of Vaccination showing valid polio vaccination is required for all children between the ages of 3 months and 7 years.


Weather

Average highs in August and September are around 76F (24C). Average lows are around 65F (18C). Rainy season generally does not begin until October, lasting through January, but it is advised to always travel prepared.
