ABOUT FOZ DO IGUAÇU
Foz do Iguaçu is located in the state of Parana and belongs to the Brazil Federative Republic. It borders Argentina and Paraguay. The total area is about 433 square meters and is a part of the Iguaçu National Park. Foz is a beautiful city, with large, wide streets where green and the sun are present all year. Besides the exuberant natural attractions, there are many options, tours and opportunities. Iguaçu Falls is an unforgettable attraction. Declared a Natural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the Falls receives millions of visitors annually that appreciate the magical and powerful landscape.

AGROTOURISM

This post conference tour will visit the area in which 6% of all the agricultural products are grown in Brazil. Country lovers will enjoy this complex tour that is divided into two parts:
Research of New Products:
This first stage of the tour will include a visit to an agricultural research center that is involved in the genetic development of soybeans, wheat, corn and other grains. Visitors will be able to observe the process and research that goes into genetically developed seeds.
Plant and Crop (Model Farm):
The second stage of the tour will be to a commercial cattle breeding farm and then to a soybean farm where they will observe overall operations.

BRAZILIAN FALLS AND MACUCO SAFARI BOAT TOUR

     The Iguassu National Park was established in 1939 and declared a Heritage Site by UNESCO to pre-serve local plants and wildlife. Walkways lead down the steep sides of the Iguaçu river canyon, lined by dozens of falls, to the foot of the Floriano Drop, with access to the elevator and look-out point offering a full frontal view of the Devil's Throat.
     Another attraction of the Iguaçu National Park is the Macuco Safari. A leisurely two-kilometer guided tour through the forest in an open two-stage car with fascinating explanations highlighting many ecological points of interest. This is followed by a walk to the banks of the Iguassu River where a special river-boat takes visitors upstream for a closer view of the Falls.

ITAIPU DAM AND HYDROELECTRIC PLANT WITH A SHOPPING TOUR TO THE COUNTRY OF PARAGUAY

     The Itaipú Reception Center runs a video profiling this venture, followed by a visit to the main look-out with a view over the slip-way, including the impres-sive spectacle of the waters and an overview of the entire plant. The world's largest hydro-power complex consists of a dam whose wall is eight meters long, with eighteen turbines producing 700 mw each, totalling 12.6 mw installed power and producing 76 billion kw/h/year. This complex operation supplies power to ten Brazilian states, including the Federal District, in addition to Paraguay. It produces some 26% of all electricity generated in Brazil, and 20.6% of the power generated in the Mercosur nations. Following the tour, the attendees will have an opportunity look for bargains of “rare finds” in one of the most popular shipping areas in Paraquay.

ARGENTINA FALLS AND EXOTIC BIRD PARK

     Leading from the Brazil / Argentina Customs House and crossing the Tancredo Neves bridge over the Iguaçu river, this excursion extends through the Iguaçu National Park. It offers a complete and very dif-ferent view of the Falls, particularly the Devil's Throat.
     At the entrance to the Iguaçu National Park, the Bird Park brings visitors into close contact with Nature. A guided walk through this protected area along paths weaving through the native forest offers the chance of a close-up glimpse of the colourful birds of Brazil and several other countries some are threatened by extinction.
