Executive Director Partnership in
Global Learning (PGL)
University of Florida, USA.

“A Partnership in Global Learning”
The Partnership in Global Learning is a university/corporate consortium whose mission is to promote international post secondary teaching and research; K-12 teacher training; and corporate training in Mexico and Latin America. The PGL partnership includes Avaya Communications, Lucent Technologies, International Business Machines, and three universities in Brazil, one in Mexico, and the University of Florida.
In addition to her role in PGL, Dr. Legg is the Director of the Office of Instructional Resources and the Center for Instructional Research and Computing Activities at the University of Florida. These responsibilities include the development of online modules and the provision for technical support for online instruction. Dr. Legg’s range of interests gives her an in depth understanding of the complex interactions required for successful implementation of technology in the classroom and in the corporate world. PGL is the first international consortium of universities and corporations. Her talk will review the IT and distance education issues related to this type of international collaboration. It may be a glimpse into the not too distant future.
