TEMPLE GRANDIN, COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY

SUNDAY, JUNE 17             4:30PM-5:30PM

Location: Ballroom B

"I think in pictures," writes ASABE member Temple Grandin, and her so-called visual thinking is a tremendous advantage in her job as a livestock-equipment designer. Grandin's unique skill is a byproduct of her having autism, and she is living proof that those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders can lead highly productive lives with the proper support and understanding. Author of several books, including the revelatory Emergence: Labeled Autistic, and also Animals in Translation, Grandin has been the featured subject on National Public Radio and on such television programs as "48 Hours," "The Today Show" and "Primetime Live." Her insights on animal welfare and autism have enthralled and enlightened audiences, and you will be similarly affected when you hear her in Minneapolis.
