AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT

TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE
February 10-13, 2008

Louisville, Kentucky

On behalf of the 2008 Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC) Planning Committee I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate i the 12th annual AETC conference to be held in Louisville Kentucky, on February 10-13, 2008.

This year, Louisville, will continue to be an excellent meeting place for standards updates and meetings, as well as an increased offering of technical content and professional development. New this year AETC will have expanded technical sessions that will be on Monday morning and afternoon: Economics of Producing Biomass Materials, GD&T Application for Design, Metal Corrosion and Prevention and Designing Weldments for Agricultural Equipment. To give you an idea of the additional offerings within AETC, here are only some of the topics covered this year; GD&T, Homologation, Failure Analysis, New Products and many more. Also we will be honored to have the President Elect of ASABE Jim Dooley for our Keynote Speaker to discuss Woody Biomass on Monday and highlighting our Tuesday luncheon will be a traditional distinguished lecture series on Power Hop Instability of Tractors given by Jack Wiley and Reed Turner.

Student Industry Day will again be an important part of our conference. We will be having a job fair for our college students to have the opportunity to visit with major companies to inquire about future jobs and compare various employment opportunities. After a day of presentations including a 1/4 Scale update the evening will conclude with a networking opportunity with a Student/Industry Bowling night. Information for presentations can be seen on this website.

The location of our conference is in the State of Kentucky, of the United States of America, making it easy to fly into for our International guests, and see the diversity the fertile farmland Kentucky has to offer. Again this year the Conference precedes the National Farm Machinery Show, so after the conference, colleagues, students, and our International guests can attend the National Farm Machinery Show with over 800 exhibitors indoors, which has free admission to attend the show and seminars it has to offer. Machinery under exhibit comes from major companies and short-line manufacturers to represent a wide offering of products manufactured around the world. There is also a tractor pull every night of the farm show, so be sure to reserve tickets ahead of time if going to one of these events.

Hope to see you in Kentucky!
