The 2017 ASABE Nebraska Section Fall Meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 20th at Nebraska East Union, located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus.  The program will begin with a tour of Midwest Hops Producers LLC, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska at 1:00 PM.  The tour of the hop yard will be provided by Annette and Bruce Wiles (owners of the company), and will focus on the large scale hops production status in Nebraska.

Following the Hop Yard tour, we will meet in the parking lot of the Nebraska East Union to tour the Larsen Tractor Test Museum and Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory (NTTL).  After these tours, undergraduate student teams of the Biological Systems Engineering Department and their engineering designs will be showcased.  This will be a great opportunity for the section meeting attendees to interact with the undergraduate students and the FRC teams about their experiences at the national and international competitions.

Following the student team showcase, we will gather at the Prairie Suite in Nebraska East Union to hear from Maury Salz, President (CLAAS) and President-Elect (ASABE), who will speak on the topic "What can I do to solve agricultural production challenges on the future".  Dinner will follow, and after dinner, we will be hearing from Dr. Curt Weller, Head and Professor of Food Science and Technology Department, University of Nebraska-Lincoln about the Food Innovation Center and the Nebraska MEP program.  As with previous section meetings, the Nebraska Section will prepare a certificate for continuing education credits to be issed after the meeting to those interested.  Please see the schedule available on the registration link for more details on the event locations, addresses, and parking.
