New Mexico Section Meeting
Date: April 11, 2014
Location: Mesilla Park, NM
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Annual New Mexico Section ASABE meeting at New Mexico State University. If you attend the Biosystems Group breakfasts, then this meeting is also for you.
Tracey Carrillo has agreed to come speak to the group about the connection between glandless cotton and raising shrimp in New Mexico, and to give us a tour of the NM Shrimp Co. operation.
The format for this meeting will be similar to last year with a poster session. Please consider bringing a poster to present some of your agricultural engineering and biosystems work and experience. We especially encourage students to come and present their work.
If you plan to attend the meeting please RSVP by end of day March 28 to Derek Whitelock. If you want to present a poster, submit your title and author(s) by the March 28 deadline.
Registration for professional members will be $20 (this covers refreshments and lunch for you and a student). STUDENTS ARE FREE.
Also, it will be time for officer elections. If you have someone in mind that you would like to nominate, please contact the Chair of the Nominating Committee, Carlos Armijo. A NM Section officer must be a member of ASABE.
