Program Funds
ASABE Future Fund supports special projects
that address critical needs or long-term opportunities to enhance
the services of the Society.
Cooperative Standards Fund supports the
development and enhancement of the ASABE Cooperative Standards
Program.
Engineering Education Fund supports the
development and improvement of educational materials and methods
for engineering in agriculture.
Engineering Research Fund develops and supports
selected research projects of high interest to society and the
membership of ASABE.
International Development Fund helps
support technology transfer to developing countries and promotes
international communications on engineering in agriculture and
biological processing.
Public Issues Education Fund supports the
Society's public awareness activities to build understanding
regarding technological issues involving engineering in
agriculture.
Russell H. Hahn International Standards Fund
earnings will be used to support more extensive efforts in
international standards activities by ASABE.

ADS/Hancor
Soil and Water Engineering Award Fund honors
contributions to the advancement of soil and water engineering.
Contributions may be in teaching, research, planning, design,
constrution, management or development of materials.
Advancement of Surface
Irrigation Award honors individuals and projects for
significant contributions to surface irrigation.
A.W. Farrall Young
Educator Award honors the outstanding success
motivating the application of engineering principles to the
problems of agricultural engineering. It is awarded to an
individual under the age of 40 at the time of selection.
Boyd-Scott Graduate Research
Award recognizes M.S. and Ph.D. students for
excellence in the conduct and presentation of research to build the
knowledge base needed by engineers who design equipment,
facilities, and processes for the sustainable operation of a
biological system.
Evelyn E. Rosentreter
Standards Award recognizes and honors individuals for
exemplary standards work and supports activities that will improve
the availability and use of ASABE consensus standards.
ASABE Foundation Engineering
Scholarship Fund provides funds to award a scholarship
to a university student majoring in agricultural or biological
engineering.
G.B. Gunlogson Countryside
Engineering Award honors outstanding engineering
contributions to the development and improvement of the countryside
and provides support for the ASABE Fountain Wars and Open
Environmental Student Design competitions.
Gale
A. Holloway Professional Development Award Fund
encourages and recognizes outstanding leadership and active
involvement by an ASABE member early in their career.
Heerman Sprinkler Irrigation
Award honors those professionals in research,
development, extension, education or industry that have made
significant contributions to the improvement of efficient and
effective sprinkler irrigation.
Henry
Giese Structures and Environment Award honors
distinguished service in advancing the knowledge and science of
agricultural structures and environment.

Barnes Student Paper Competition Award provides a
lasting memorial, honoring his dedication to students and to his
profession.
Kishida International
Award honors outstanding contributions to
engineering-mechanization-technological programs of education,
research, development, consultation, or technology transfer that
have resulted in significant improvements outside the United
States.
Massey
Ferguson Education Gold Medal Award honors those whose
dedication to the spirit of learning and teaching in the field of
agricultural engineering has advanced our agricultural knowledge
and practice, and whose efforts serve as an inspiration to
others.
Mayfield Cotton Engineering
Award honors outstanding contributions to the cotton
industry.
New Holland Young
Researcher Award recognizes dedication to the use of
scientific methodology to seek out facts or prinicples significant
to agricultural engineering. It is awarded to a person under the
age of 40 at the time of selection.
PEI Professional Engineer
of the Year Award recognizes a licensed engineer who
has made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession,
the public welfare, and/or humankind.
Pharos of Alexandria Global
Learning Award seeks to honor and recognize
annually an outstanding Undergraduate upper-class level
(junior/senior) or Graduate ASABE student member who exhibits
interest in engineering problems and global learning
outreach.
Rain Bird
Engineering Concept of the Year Award honors an
engineer or engineering team for unique contributions to the
development or advancement of a new engineering concept.
Robert E. Stewart
Engineering Humanities Award honors a graduate or
undergraduate student who is a student member of ASABE at the time
of nomination for outstanding contributions to the profession and
the humanities.
Roger R. and Laura M.
Yoerger Preprofessional Engineer of the Year
Award recognizes an outstanding
undergraduate student member of ASABE who has excelled
scholastically and who has been a leader in the local, regional,
and international communities as demonstrated by activities and
offices held at each level.
SMV Technologies
Ergonomics, Safety and Health Award is to encourage
and to recognize outstanding contributions which advance
agricultural and biological safety and health. These contributions
shall have been either in the form of notable performance, product
innovation, program innovation, research, design education
promotion, published literature and/or special actions which have
served to advance agricultural and biological safety and
health.
Sunkist Young Designer
Award is awarded to an individual under the age of 40
at the time of selection. This award honors the development or
creation of a technical plan that is materially influencing
agricultural engineering progress, as evidenced by use in the
field.
William J. Adams, Jr. and
Marijane Adams Jr., Scholarship is given to one
undergraduate student who has a special interest in agricultural
machinery product design and develpment.
Special Purpose Funds
ASABE Fellow Award Fund supports
the annual Fellows Award and Recognition Ceremony.
ASABE Past Presidents Fund supports activities
and events our past presidents deem worthy to highlight the
heritage of ASABE and challenge our Society to capture new
opportunities to serve the public.
ASABE Preprofessional Fund provides support for
programs designed to increase student participation in ASABE
activities and to increase the number of students who, upon
graduation, become active members of ASABE.
Dale Wm. Zimmerman P.E. Fund supports the
preparation of professional engineering licensure exams by
ASABE.
Harold Pinches Memorial Textbook Loan Fund
provides money for authors to write agricultural engineering and
agricultural mechanization textbooks.
J.L. Butt Fund enables the Society to attract
high caliber keynote speakers to ASABE international meetings and
provides seed money grants for start-up projects to improve member
services.
Larry & Lola Huggins Fund earnings are to
be used as annually designated by the ASABE President.
Price Hobgood Fund annual earnings are
transferred to the ASABE Future Fund for use where the need is
greatest.
Tony & Lucille Weasler Fund annual earnings
are transferred to the Cooperative Standards Program for use where
the need is greatest.

R. & Karen A. Gilley Academic Leadership Award
Fund seeks to honor and recognize annually an ASABE
member who is currently providing outstanding academic leadership
while serving as department head/chair of a Biological and
Agricultural Engineering Department (or similarly named department)
in the United States that presently has an ABET accredited
Agricultural/Biological Engineering program.
Nye Fellowship Fund is to provide a fellowship
for a minority student pursuing a PhD in agricultural
engineering.

AGCO National
Student Design Competition Award Fund encourages
undergraduate students to participate in the basic design of an
engineering project useful to agriculture.
International
Food Engineering Award Fund established to honor
those who have made engineering contributions in research,
development or design of food processes significant to the food
industry; or in outstanding leadership, management or education to
advance the food engineering profession.
John Deere Gold Medal Award
Fund honors achievement through engineering for
improved manipulation, use and conservation of soil-water resource,
and that has resulted in applications of a new concept, product,
art or science that advanced the development of agriculture.
McCormick-Case
Gold Medal Award honors exceptional and
meritorious engineering achievement in agriculture that has
resulted in new concepts, products, processes or methods that
advanced the development of agriculture.
RERC Electric Technology Award honors
contributions to the use of electrical energy in the production and
processing of agricultural products and to emphasize the unique
role of agricultural engineering.
Young Extension Worker Award
Fund is awarded to an individual under the age of 40
at the time of selection. The award recognizes outstanding success
in motivating people to acquire knowledge, skills, and
understanding to improve agricultural operations.
Special Project Funds
Electronic Publishing Legacy Material Fund
assists in the financial support required to facilitate the
addition of previously published ASABE technical information to the
new ASABE full-text online library.
General Fund is a fund through which the normal
and customary operating and fundraising expenses of the ASABE
Foundation are paid.
John Deere Lecture Series Defrays the costs of
providing an honorarium and plaque to the lecturer and printing the
lecture.
