Instructions
for Preparing a Nomination
Please use the nomination form for submitting a nomination. The nominator of the candidate for the Robert E. Stewart Engineering-Humanities Award shall submit a completed nomination form to headquarters by October 31.
All award nomination forms are to be submitted to ASABE headquarters in the following electronic format only. Hard copy sent via regular mail will no longer be accepted.
The nomination form and cover letter are to be sent as PDF files emailed to the attention of ASABE Awards Administrator, Carol Flautt - flautt@asabe.org Nomination forms and cover letters submitted in this format will allow headquarters to send the documents electronically to the award selection committee. It is the responsibility of the nominator to verify that the PDF files appear as intended.

Purpose
of the Award
To recognize
outstanding contributions to the advancement of the interaction
of the profession and the humanities.
The
Award
The
name of the award shall be the Robert E. Stewart Engineering
- Humanities Award. The award was established in 1986 by Bonnie
Stewart as a tribute to her husband, a McCormick Medalist, past
president and Fellow of ASABE. The award acknowledges and perpetuates
his lifelong dedication to the social and cultural contributions
that agricultural engineering makes to the quality of life and
to the application of the humanities to engineering research,
design, developments and teaching.
The M-122
Robert E. Stewart Engineering - Humanities Award Committee will
be responsible for the selection of the award recipient with
final approval by the M-102 Awards Coordinating Committee.
The award
shall consist of an appropriately engraved plaque and will be
presented at the Annual International Meeting of the Society.
NOTE:
Those
nominating a candidate will be advised only if their candidate
is selected. Each award nominee will be considered by the award
committee for two additional years if not selected the year
nominated, as long as the candidate remains an ASABE member in
good standing.
Eligibility
for the Award
Individual
graduate or undergraduate students who are Student Members of
ASABE at the time of nomination are eligible. They may be citizens
of any country and they must be willing to present themselves
in person to receive the award at the Annual International Meeting
of the Society.

Robert
E. Stewart Engineering Humanities Award
|
The
Robert E. Stewart Engineering-Humanities Award was established
in 1986 by Bonnie Stewart as a tribute to her husband,

Award is presented to an individual who was a student
member of ASABE at the time of nomination. It is to "recognize
outstanding contributions to the advancement of the
interaction of the profession and the humanities."
