STANDARDS AWARD
Instructions for Preparing a Nomination
Please use the nomination form for submitting a nomination. The nominator of the candidate for the Evelyn E. Rosentreter Standards Award shall submit a completed nomination form to headquarters by October 31.
All award nomination forms and letters of support are to be submitted to ASABE headquarters in the following electronic format only. Hard copy sent via regular mail will no longer be accepted.
The nomination form and required letters of support are to be sent as PDF files emailed to the attention of ASABE Awards Administrator, Carol Flautt - flautt@asabe.org Nomination forms and letters of support submitted in this format will allow headquarters to send the documents electronically to the award selection committee. It is the responsibility of the nominator and authors of the support letters to verify that the PDF file appears as intended.
The required letters of support can be included with the nomination form or sent separately as a PDF file emailed to the attention of ASABE Awards Administrator, Carol Flautt - flautt@asabe.org by October 31.

Purpose of the Award
To recognize
individual's who have given exceptional contributions toward
the generation, maintenance and administration of ASABE standards.
The contributions may be in any aspect of the ASABE standards
mission including, but not limited to, the development, leadership
and service. In the case where the effort is shared by more
than one person, each person will share in the Award.
The
Award
The name
of the Award shall be the Evelyn E. Rosentreter Standards Award
to honor the service of Evelyn E. Rosentreter, former Administrative
Assistant to the ASABE Standards Program. The award was endowed
by anonymous donors through the ASABE Foundation, and was first
presented in 2000.
The recognition
item shall consist of an engraved plate with the honorees name
and award citation mounted on a polished hardwood plaque. The
award shall be presented annually at the Annual International
Meeting of the Society.
The M-160
Evelyn E. Rosentreter Standards Award Committee is responsible
for the selection of the award recipient or recipients with
final approval by the M-102 Awards Coordinating Committee of
ASABE.
NOTE:
Those nominating a candidate will be advised only
if their candidate is selected. Each nominee will be considered
by the award committee for two additional year if not selected
the year nominated.
Eligibility
for the Award
A nominee
shall be an ASABE member in good standing and shall have contributed
in an exceptional and meritorious manner to the ASABE standards
mission as described above under "Purpose of the Award."
Administration
of the Award
The M-160
Evelyn E. Rosentreter Standards Committee shall consist of six
members
elected as follows:
- One
member appointed by the Chair of the Standards Council
- One
member appointed by the Chair of the International Standardization
Committee, T-13
- One
member appointed by the Chair of the Standards (Policy &
Adoption Committee), T-1
- A member
of the ASABE Board of Trustees
- An ASABE
member-at-large elected by the membership
- An ex
officio member named by the Executive Vice President of ASABE,
shall be an ASABE staff
member whose job responsibility includes the ASABE Awards Program.

Evelyn
E. Rosentreter Standards Award
|
The
award will be given annually to encourage and recognize
individuals who have contributed exemplary leadership
and service toward the generation, maintenance, and
administration of ASABE standards activities. To
be eligible, a nominee shall be an ASABE member in good
standing and have contributed in an exceptional and
meritorious manner in support of the ASABE standards
mission.
