Cooperative Standards Program 

ASABE Standards Worker/Developer Recognition

Purpose of the Award

     The Committee on Standards, T-1, will select up to five persons annually for individual recognition of major contributions to the development or revision of a specific ASABE standard.
     Chairs of the originating committee for a standard consider nominating any major contributors to the efforts for recognition by ASABE. The outline below is used to submit nomination(s) to the T-1 Chair with copies to division standards committee (-03) chair and to the standards department. Nominations should be received prior to March 1 of next year to be considered for recognition at the next Annual International Meeting.
     In addition to formal recognition at the Annual International Meeting, ASABE will send a letter of appreciation to the honorees and to their employers.

To be completed at the time of ASABE adoption of new standards or major revisions to existing standards. The complete report should not exceed two written pages.

       I.     Identification: 
              A. Standard Number, name, and whether newly developed or revised;
              B. Supervising committee.

      II.   Developing committee, subcommittee, or working group: 
              A. Chair(s); 
                      1. Name(s) and dates;
                          2. Description of leadership/contribution; 
              B. Individual who should be recognized for making major contribution to the
                       standard(s), along with brief listing of significant contributions by others; 
              C. Brief history of development/revision (dates of drafts, major changes, issues,
                       difficulties/conflicts, voting record, etc.); 
              D. Description of industry involvement, collaboration, and review;
              E. Sources of Motivation; and
              F. Other. 

      III. Standard Information 
              A. Importance of standard (to industry, public, ASABE technical divisions,
                        engineers, ANSI, ISO, etc.); 
              B. Other.

      IV. Approvals 
              A. Developing committee (signature);
                 B. Supervising committee chair (signature); and
                 C. T-1 Committee review date and chair's signature.
