Instructions for Preparing a Nomination
Please use the nomination form for submitting a nomination. The
nominator of the candidate for the PEI Professional Engineer of
the Year Award shall submit a completed and signed copy of the nomination form to headquarters by October
31. The required three (3) signed nominating statements
can be included with the nomination or e-mailed to the attention
of flautt@asabe.org by the
October 31 due date. If you are unable to email a signed electronic copy of the nomination form or three (3)Nominating statements , please mail or fax a signed copy by Oct. 31.
*8a Supplemental Information: a one-page supplement (500 words
or less) may be included which provides additional supplemental
supporting information concerning "Specific Outstanding Technical
and Professional Engineering Accomplishments and Contributions Meriting
Selection of the Award." The supplemental information could be text
further describing the accomplishments of the nominee; OR, three (3)signed,
1-page nominating statements on letterhead, from no more than
three (3) ASABE members who are not individuals listed as references
at the bottom of the form).

This form cannot be saved once you have filled in the form and hit
the submit button. It will be sent directly to ASABE headquarters.
Purpose of the Award
To honor an ASABE licensed engineer who has made outstanding contributions
to the engineering profession, the public welfare, and/or humankind.
The Award
The name of the award shall be the PEI Professional Engineer of
the Year Award and is made possible by the Professional Engineering
Institute (PEI) and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological
Engineering Foundation.
The selection of recipients for the PEI Professional Engineer of
the Year Award shall be made by the M-161 PEI Professional Engineer
of the Year Award Com-mittee, with final approval by the M-102 Awards
Coordinating Committee.
The award shall consist of an engraved plaque carrying an appropriate
citation and be presented annually at the Annual International Meeting
of the Society.
NOTE: Those nominating a candidate will be advised only
if their candidate is selected. Each nominee will be considered
by the award committee for two additional years if not selected
the first selection year.
Eligibility for the Award
Recipient must be a corporate member of the American Society of
Agricultural and Biological Engineering and a licensed professional
engineer who has made outstanding contributions to the engineering
profession, the public welfare, and/or human-kind, as listed under
the purpose of the award.

Professional Engineering Award |
Established in 2003, the PEI Professional
Engineering Award is presented annually to a licensed
professional engineer who has made outstanding contributions
to the engineering profession, the public welfare, and/or
humankind. The award is made possible by the Professional
Engineering Institute and the American Society of Agricultural
and Biological Engineering Foundation.
